- Propaedeutic Year One graduates have guaranteed continued progression to Wittenborg or after successful completion of the University Entrance Exam to one of the Netherlands leading Research Universities
Cambridge Education Group (CEG) and Wittenborg today launched their new University Pathway Programme – a route of study that aims to provide access to leading universities in the Netherlands. The introduction of the Propaedeutic Year is the initial year of a bachelor’s degree programme at a Dutch University of Applied Sciences. It serves as a foundational stepping stone, designed to introduce students to the core concepts and methodologies of their chosen field of study.
On successful completion, students are guaranteed continued progression to Wittenborg and will join their vibrant Business School joining students from over 100 different nationalities. Wittenborg teaches solely in English and their highly employable graduates have gone on to careers in the Netherlands and around the world.
Students choosing to take the Dutch University Entrance Exam can also progress to one of the leading universities in the Netherlands – with 11 universities in the top 250 QS rankings, there is now even more choice for OnCampus Amsterdam students. In addition, the programme is accredited with the award of 60 ECTS credits which means students can gain direct access to leading universities in the Netherlands as well as universities across Europe under the European Credit Transfer and Accumulation System.
OnCampus Amsterdam was established in 2012 and a partnership with the University of Amsterdam Faculty of Economics and Business was established in 2014. UvA is placed at 55 in the QS World rankings, the top-ranked institution in the Netherlands and home to a Triple Crown accredited business school. OnCampus Amsterdam continues to support recruitment to and provide pastoral care and wider support services for international students on UvA’s Master’s preparatory programmes.
“The Netherlands continues to be a leading destination for international students. Our collaboration with Wittenborg will provide students with more choice and our continued commitment to delivering exceptional teaching and support and high-quality students to leading universities.” David Johnston, CEO, Cambridge Education Group
Peter Birdsall, President, Wittenborg added “At Wittenborg, we promote excellence in teaching and learning of international business and management, as well as by creating the best environment for students and staff where internationalisation, diversity and ethics set the premises for successfully applied, research-informed, global learning. Partnering with CEG enables us to expand our reach and awareness of the range of innovative programmes and excellent graduate employment outcomes we offer. We’re also in a fantastic position to promote and support progression to the wider higher education sector in the Netherlands.”
