Birkbeck, University of London and Cambridge Education Group (CEG) announce extension to their pathway provision. The extension also includes a range of new and innovative programme solutions for aspiring international students:
- A hybrid pre and in-sessional programme targeting students with IELTS 6.0 to improve their English prior to joining with additional in-sessional support
- The expansion of the Birkbeck guaranteed progression to nearly 100 undergraduate and over 150 postgraduate courses as well as an expanded International Year One options:
- International Year One in Business
- International Year One in Computing (available from 2026)
Birkbeck, University of London and Cambridge Education Group (CEG) are delighted to announce an extension to its partnership through CEG’s OnCampus London centre which first commenced in 2010 and has seen hundreds of students progress to Birkbeck.
CEG are working closely with the University to enhance the portfolio of university preparation programmes enabling international students to bridge the gap from the qualifications studied in their own country. This extended partnership will see a series of new programmes launching in 2025/26.
- A hybrid pre-sessional and in-sessional programme that will enable student to commence their studies at an equivalent of IELTS 6.0 and build up their English and academic skills before commencing their programme of studies. On commencing their studies, the students will then be provided with additional in-sessional support to help with their transition to the rigours of academic study at Birkbeck.
- Extending Birkbeck’s guaranteed progression for OnCampus students to the full portfolio at Birkbeck: from Art History to Business, Data /Computer Science and Political Science.
- Enhancements to the International Year One in Business, already in place at OnCampus London and a new route with an International Year One in Computing for the 2025/26 academic year.
Students joining OnCampus will also benefit from the wider choice of study options at Birkbeck with both day time and evening classes. For those students who are keen to build up their career portfolio alongside their studies in the vibrant heart of London, this is the ideal option.
